Chilean Apple Pie

Ingredients

400 grams of Wheat flour

180 grams of Butter

½ cup of Sugar

½ Baking powder

1 Egg

4 Apples

1 Cinnamon stick

½ cup of Sugar for filling

Preparation

Step 1 : First, carefully slice the apples and place them in a pot with the cinnamon stick, sugar, a little water, and cook for 10 minutes.

Step 2 : In a separate bowl, combine the butter with the sugar. Then add the egg and beat well. Once ready, add the flour and mix. When everything is combined, set aside and cover with plastic wrap in a plate to rest.

Step 3 : After a few minutes, extend the dough on a floured surface using a rolling pin. Once rolled out, place the dough into the baking mold using your hands.

Step 4 : On top, arrange the sliced apples. Then, with the remaining dough, decorate with long strips over the pie and brush with beaten egg on top of the strips.

Step 5 : Bake in the oven for 35 minutes. Ready to enjoy and serve!
