Chapaleles
Ingredients

2 kilograms of Potatoes
½ kilogram of Flour
2 tablespoons of Lard
1 pinch of Salt
Preparation
Step 1 : Start by peeling the potatoes and boiling them in a pot with water. Once the potatoes are soft and cooked, remove them from the heat. Then, mash them until you achieve a smooth purée.
Step 2 : With the purée ready, add the flour, salt, and lard. Mix all the ingredients and knead until the dough doesn't stick to your hands.
Step 3 : Then, when the dough is soft, form small balls and flatten them until they are about the size of a teacup plate.
Step 4 : This recipe has several cooking options: you can boil them in a pot of water, fry them, or bake them in the oven — just about 10 minutes until they get a slight golden color.
Step 5 : Serve with pebre and enjoy the snack among friends with a glass of wine.
