Lentils with Longanizas

Ingredients

500 grams of Lentils

1 Bell pepper

2 tablespoons of Rice

¼ Longanizas

2 Garlic clove

1 Onion

1 Carrot

Oil

1 pinch of Pepper

1 pinch of Salt

Preparation

Step 1 : Soak the lentils the night before.

Step 2 : The next day, rinse them well, remove any stones that might be there, and boil in a pot for about 10 to 15 minutes.

Step 3 : After that, discard the water (it will have foam) and fill the pot again.

Step 4 : Taste them, and when they are soft, add the rice.

Step 5 : In a skillet, fry the diced onion along with the chopped carrot, bell pepper, salt, pepper, finely chopped garlic, and sliced longanizas.

Step 6 : Once everything is fried, add it to the lentils and let it cook for another ten minutes.

Step 7 : When they are ready, serve in a deep plate.
