Ingredients

1 kilogram of Lentils

3 Garlic cloves

2 Tomatoes

3 Onions

10 Longaniza sausages

5 tablespoons of Oil

3 tablespoons of Salt and pepper

Preparation

Step 1 : The lentils are left soaking in a pot with water overnight before preparation.

Step 2 : The next day, the soaking water is discarded and the lentils are rinsed.

Step 3 : The onions, garlic cloves, and tomatoes are washed and crushed.

Step 4 : Then, a pot with plenty of water and the lentils is placed on the stove for 15 minutes.

Step 5 : After that time, the water is discarded and replaced with fresh water.

Step 6 : A skillet is preheated, oil is added, and the longaniza along with the crushed vegetables are fried.

Step 7 : After 5 minutes, the longaniza sofrito is mixed with the lentils and cooked on low heat for 10 more minutes.

Step 8 : Finally, it is served and enjoyed.
