It is an authentic variation of the classic Italian recipe, adapted to Latin American tastes.
Its history dates back to the arrival of pasta in the region, combining local ingredients such as corn and chili peppers.
Carbonara
Ingredients
½ kilogram of Pasta
½ kilogram of Cheese
250 grams of Bacon
250 grams of Mushrooms
4 Onions
2 tablespoons of Butter
1 liter of Water
Oil
Cream
Preparation
Step 1 : First, wash all your ingredients.
Step 2 : Next, cut the mushrooms into thin, small pieces.
Step 3 : Then, peel and chop the onions, as well as the bacon.
Step 4 : Bring water to a boil and add a pinch of salt.
Step 5 : Proceed to add your pasta and cook for about 5 minutes.
Step 6 : Then, in a skillet, add oil and butter, and sauté the onions and mushrooms. After a couple of minutes, remove the onions and mushrooms and set aside.
Step 7 : In the same skillet, add the bacon and, after 2 minutes, add back the onions and mushrooms.
Step 8 : Drain the pasta and add the carbonara sauce.
Step 9 : Serve and enjoy.
