Toasted Ham with Cloves
Ingredients
½ Boneless turkey breast
15 Cloves
1 liter of Water
1 Bay leaf
2 Fresh thyme sprigs
1 Fresh rosemary sprig
100 grams of Salt
2 tablespoons of Oil
2 tablespoons of Honey
Preparation
Step 1 : Remove the skin from the turkey breast. Insert the cloves into the top of the breast, distributing them evenly.
Step 2 : Tie the turkey breast with a string or the netting it comes in. It should be as round as possible.
Step 3 : In a pot, heat the water with the bay leaf, thyme, rosemary, and salt.
Step 4 : Once it boils, turn off the heat and put the turkey breast in the water. Let it marinate for 1 hour.
Step 5 : Remove from the water, rinse with cold water, and dry. Place the turkey in a baking dish and rub entirely with oil. Preheat the oven to 160°C and cook for 20 minutes.
Step 6 : Once the breast is cooked, pour honey around the turkey in the baking dish and bake for an additional 5 minutes to caramelize the turkey. Remove from the oven and let cool.
Step 7 : Remove the cloves from the turkey breast and slice it into thin pieces.
Step 8 : Serve with bread or tostaditas.
