Baked Chaparritas
Ingredients
Empanada dough
1 Egg
8 Chopped Vienna sausages
60 grams of Grated creamy cheese
Preparation
Step 1 : Place some flour on a flat surface or table and sprinkle it around. This prevents the dough from sticking.
Step 2 : Start rolling out the empanada dough with a rolling pin until it is thin.
Step 3 : Cut the dough with a cutter, making thick and long strips. Then turn the strips into rectangles by cutting in half.
Step 4 : Place the grated cheese on each dough base and top with a piece of sausage.
Step 5 : Wrap each chaparrita.
Step 6 : Place a greased mold (preferably glass or Teflon) and arrange the chaparritas inside.
Step 7 : Beat the egg and, with a pastry brush, brush it over the surface of the dough.
Step 8 : Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (356°F) for approximately 15-20 minutes.
Step 9 : Serve hot.
