Mote con huesillo
Ingredients
½ kilogram of Husked wheat
1 kilogram of Peaches
10 tablespoons of Sugar
1 Cinnamon stick
Preparation
Step 1 : Wash and soak the dried peaches (huesillos) overnight to rehydrate them.
Step 2 : Cook the rehydrated huesillos in water with sugar and a little cinnamon for 30 minutes, until it thickens.
Step 3 : Meanwhile, cook the husked wheat until tender, then drain.
Step 4 : Add the cooked husked wheat to the sweet peach liquid and refrigerate for at least one hour.
Step 5 : This beverage is best served cold.
